I don't know if I'm too late to join....
Name: Failing Hearts (Fear for short)
Breed: German Shepherd Dog
Age: 3
Gender: Male
Personality: He is cautious, and doesn't trust anyone at first sight. He is nice, once you get to know him. He is a string fighter, and you would hate to meet him in a dark alley, all alone. He would, most likely, tear you to shreds. But, if he does become your friend, he would be a friend for life.
History: When Fear was younger, he was called Jack. But before he was called Jack, he was called Akante.
When Dear was still a little puppy, he was brought up by his parents on the streets. He played with his brothers and sisters in the park at Summer time, and would spen Winters huddled in a small alcove on the street somewhere.
But that all changed, that fateful day. When Fear was about 1 1/2, he was taken by the police dog association, picked right off from the side of the road. He was trained as a police dog, which honed him his fighting skills. He grew stronger, but longed for the free life.
So, one day, Fear turned on his trainer. He attacked him during a practice session, and escaped. The other trainers tried to stop him, by fireing bullets and such. He was just too dangerous to go out on the streets alone. But he and his trainer had made a special bond, even if it turned out this way. He understood.
Leave him. Let him go.
The trainer ordered them to leave Fear alone. So, he roamed the streets from then on, always hoping to find his true, best friend. He changed his name, to match his emotions.
His heart was failing, failing in what anyone needs most.
Love.

Redfire had been thinking hard. Everything was to much. She didn't know what to do with her life. Would she follow in her father's footsteps? Or would she go after Ryuu and train with her element. She had been wandering for a while now and felt guilty for leaving Sumiko. While in deep thought, she hadn't known where she was going. Suddenly, a smell hit her nose. It wasn't a familiar one either.
Silently wandering through the shrubs and bushes, Redfire suddenly noticed what she had smelled. It was a human.Biting her tongue in shock, she moved a little closer, to get a better look of it. It appeared to be a female, a girl, probably in her teenage years. She had many scars, who knows how she got them.
Redfire walked as close as she dared, to the edge of a shrub which towered over her, and accidentally trod on a twig, sending a rabbit scampering out. She recoiled, hoping the human wouldn't notice, although knowing she would. She saw her tighten a grip on her knife. She smelled the fear coming from her, and decided she was of no harm. She stepped out from behind the shrub, and barked a greeting.
