Name: Rusha
Breed: Saluki
Age: 1
Gender: Female
Personality: Rusha is a very sweet dog. She seems to be flawless, with the right amount of temper in her body. But she is known to lash out at any moment, and can become unpredictable. Only the strogest males will be able to handle her.
History: Rusha was born a house pet, being pampered all her life. Her mistress was a very gentle woman, never raising her voice or striking her dog. And when she married, her husband was the same way. A few months later, another being was intoduced to her. This one was not gentle, and cried almost inceasingly. A baby, the man had called it. Whenever Rusha went near, the woman would roughly push her away, cursing and swearing and telling her to "Stay away, or you'll get put out!" Rusha didn't know what "put out" meant, until one day she stuck her nose into the crib. The man hollered and grabbed Rusha by the collar, dragging her fiercly down the stairs and throwing her out the door. The collar she wore tore in his hand, and the door was shut firmly. Rusha pawed at the door, but after a few moments, turned to life on the street.
Sample Post: The baby was crying again. The young Saluki laying at the bottom of the stairs raised her head, eyes watching as the woman and man rushed up the staricase with a bottle and blanket. What IS a baby? Rusha thought, standing up on her long, slender legs and leaping up the stairs.
The man and woman wher leaning over the crib, crooning in soft voices. When they had left, Rusha snuck in. She jumped up, laying her paws on the top bar. She had a glimpse of a small, pinkish coloured head, before she began to choke and bark. Her collar was pressing against her windpipe, blockign all breath from entering her lungs. The man was dragging her down the steps, while the woman cried at the head, telling him to stop. Please! Stop! Your choking her, she'll die! she was screaming, the baby in her arms. But the man waved an arm, pushing the woman out of his way. Rusha yelped, feeling her lungs wilt. She suddenly was thrust out into the dark night, feeling the collar snap. Spluttering and gasping, she turned her slender head to gaze up at the man. His hand came down, and with a flurry of curses, landed it down hard upon Rusha's head.
The young dog yelped, spinning away only to see the large, wooden door slam closed. The baby began to scream, mingling along with the woman's and the man's. Rusha had caused this. She stuck her nose into the baby's carriage, she had caused her woman to cry. Rusha looked down at the collar. It was frayed at the ends where it had broken, and it lay limp on the wooden deck. With a sigh, the tall dog turned to leave.
